今日、横浜美術館にて開催中の日本画家・中島清之（なかじま・きよし）氏の展覧会に行ってきました。
正直、今まで存じ上げなかったのですが、ポスターの画に惹かれて観に行ったら、期待通りとってもよかった！
すごく俗的な表現になってしまうけれど、あんなに絵が上手いって、どんな気分だろうって羨ましくなってしまう。
だけれども、その画力に寄りかかるだけではなく、常に挑戦している。それがまた格好いい。
絵をやればやるほど、日本画の凄さには魅了されるばかり。
多分水を使っているせいだと思う。油絵より、日本画の植物や人物には生命を感じる。
中島さんは京都府出身ながらも、１０代後半からはほぼずっと横浜で生活されたということで、横浜ゆかりの作品（スケッチなど）もちらほら。残念ながら明後日１１日（月）には終了してしまうのだけど、本当に素晴らしいので、お近くの方は（もしくは運良く別の機会に遭遇された方は）、ぜひとも行かれてみてほしい。
ちなみに上の画は、全然違うけど私のはじめての、横浜風景画。港に浮かぶ船。
There's a really good exhibition going on in Yokohama Museum, of Kiyoshi Nakajima, a Japanese painter, and I could finally visit there today. He was based in Yokohama-city for much of his life (1899-1989), and as I had expected, his works were incredibly good, so I highly recommend you to go to his show this time or another (in fact the current exhibition is over in two days (on 11th), so you may need to look for another chance, I'm sorry…). Nowadays, I'm more eager to learn Japanese paintings, for its beauty in colors, techniques, compositions…, but above all, for its high mentality and commitment of an artist toward a work.
Anyways, I'm not ashamed to say that the picture up here is my very first work of Yokohama scenery. ...A ship at a port.
