いよいよ今週火曜日から、「BITS AND PIECS …and the Animals」展スタートです！
久しぶりの個展の準備はまぁまぁ順調。だけど準備の山場は展示会場での設置なので、うまく決まるかはいつも当日までわからないというのが、一番身体に悪い部分・・・。設置さえすんじゃえば、だいぶリラックスするんですけどね！今回の個展の後は、いつになるのかわからないので、どうぞこの機会をお見逃しなく！
画像は、ボツになった最初のDM案。せっかくなので、ここでは載せてもいいかな・・・。
実は、タイトルにもあるように、今回の展示のメインは、ABCアニマルズよりも（それもあるけど）、"Bits and Pieces"=「折り紙のカケラたち」です。
折り紙のカケラたちを眺めていると、まるで人間のようだと思ってしまいます。それだけだと、ちっぽけなカケラたち・・・だけど、目的を持って他のカケラ達と集まった時に、一つの特別な表現を生み出す瞬間がある。
だから、少し置き換えて・・・自分を小さくて不要な存在だと感じてしまう瞬間、もっと俯瞰してみてほしい。自分は大きな大きなPictureの、立派で不可欠な一部だってこと・・・。そのきっかけに、この展示会がなればと願っています。

I'm almost ready for the exhibition, but the peak of preparations is displaying the works on the walls… so I still have to have this nervousness for a few more days… Anyways, the image above is the first DM idea, which I abandoned right before printing… I guess it's ok to show it here.
The main thing I want you to see is actually not so much the ABC Animals (yes that's another thing, but) the "BITS AND PIECES" of my origami papers, which plays a very significant role in my work-making.
Whenever I work with those little "bits and pieces," it reminds me of us, people. By ourselves alone, we often don't know what we are, but in a much bigger picture, each and all pieces play a very unique and significant role...
